The stainless steel strap, which can be cut to individual lengths, contains a total of 50 meters of band for assembly. This is for use in the field of grounding, to protect against lightning strikes or for the discharge of electrical currents. An application in the field of assembly is possible. According to VDE 0190 / 5.73, the strap is applicable for use with earthing systems.
The compact design in the advantage pack offers easy handling with assembly instructions on the environmentally friendly packaging and a viewing window to keep an eye on the current stock. The order reminder on the last five meters of strap gives once more a more accurate indication. Lightning and overvoltage protection
Equipotential bonding, or earthing, is used to avoid differences in voltage. According to VDE requirements, when low-voltage systems are constructed, protective measures must be taken to prevent electric shocks in buildings (DIN VDE 0100-540 and DIN VDE 0185-305). Here, for example, domestic installation PE conductors and foundation earths are collected on an equipotential bonding bar in order to balance out voltage differences. This is what an equipotential bonding bar does. The main equipotential bonding consists of a system of electrical connections between the main protective conductor, main earthing conductor, main water pipe, main gas pipe and other metal pipework systems. These systems and the earthing conductors for them should be connected with an equipotential bonding bar close to the main supply service, possibly in the service entrance equipment room.
The earthing bar is available in two sizes and has screw terminal connectors of different sizes for connecting PE conductors and other components.
The earthing devices are completed by earthing clips for galvanized copper and steel pipe for connecting metal pipes for water or heating supply. These are available with connection cross-sections between 2.5 and 16 mm² in various lengths.
